“A Sound Mind in a Sound Body”

One of the reasons I chose to be a chiropractor was its non-invasive nature, and NUCCA is one of the least invasive forms of chiropractic. After feeling firsthand the physical and psychological effects an aligned Upper Cervical complex has, I committed myself to the cultivation of sound minds by restoring peace in people’s bodies with NUCCA Chiropractic Care

  • When the upper neck (known as the craniocervical junction) undergoes an injury, an Atlas Subluxation Complex (ASC) can occur, resulting in significant dysfunction. Some of the signs of this ASC can be postural imbalances, mood regulation issues, sleeping issues, scoliosis, and pain. The NUCCA analysis involves taking precise x-rays of the ASC to determine the optimal direction (vector) in which to restore proper alignment. Once a vector has been chosen, the chiropractor will apply a slight, slow force along the proper vector to correct the Atlas Subluxation Complex, thus improving the function of your body and facilitate healing. In order to avoid taking x-rays each visit, the chiropractor will correlate postural and other exam findings with the ASC to determine if an adjustment is needed in subsequent visits.

  • Many forms of headaches and migraines can stem from an upper cervical (neck) misalignment. Upper cervical misalignments can lead to

    • increased neck tension

    • improper movement

    • poor posture

    • inflammation

which can all cause various types of headaches.

Through a comprehensive exam and x-ray imaging, the NUCCA approach finds the root cause of your headaches and stop them once and for all.

  • Anxiety can stem from multiple sources:

    • a buildup of stress

    • negative life events

    • social isolation, etc.

As a way to protect itself when we experience anxiety, the body retreats into a “fight or flight” state yielding a “flexed” posture. The “rest, digest, heal” part of your nervous system lives in the upper and lower most parts of your spine. When aligned and moving properly, especially the upper neck, adaptation to stressors happens more efficiently.

  • THERMOGRAPHY

Thermography measures temperature differentials at each vertebral level to indicate inflammation present from nerve irritation and/or vertebral dysfunction. This allows us to get a baseline scan of the function of your spine as well as track improvement at regular intervals. This scan will also alert us to any areas that may need targeted intervention to achieve the desired results.

    HEART RATE VARIABILITY

Heart Rate Variability (HRV) measures the adaptability of the patient’s autonomic nervous system. Dysfunction stems from too little or too much nerve activation.

Too little activation and a person might suffer from depression or chronic fatigue.

Too much activation and a person might be anxious or temperamental.

HRV gives us a window into how the patient's nervous system is functioning, what dysfunctional process might be present, and what interventions may be needed. Typically, we scan during initial visits to establish a baseline and again in regular intervals during care to monitor a person’s progress.

  • AKA NASAL CRANIAL RELEASE is a balloon-assisted technique that adjusts the bones of your skull and improves the flow of cerebrospinal fluid to your body and the proper flow of blood to your brain. This technique has been in practice since the 1930's. It has been taught to many chiropractors, dentists and other practitioners. Immediately after a Nasal Specific adjustment, our patients have reported decreased congestion and brain fog, increased energy, better breathing and sharper memory. Patients have also reported improvement in allergy symptoms. Improvement in vision, hearing, and smell has also been reported.

    HOW IT WORKS

A very small balloon is inserted into one of your six nasal passages and is gently inflated, opening your sinus to the back of your throat. Your passages are each opened one at a time. They each take about one to three seconds to open. During the procedure, you can feel a brief, yet intense pressure, but the relief is worth the few seconds of discomfort.

  • This non-invasive treatment uses low-level red light to support healing, reduce inflammation, and boost overall skin and tissue health. Perfect for anyone looking to enhance their wellness naturally, one soothing session at a time.
